Product Description

seedballz_logo.pngbullet_cream_with_green_checkmark.jpg SeedBallz are a colorful gift for the gardener, with several flower and culinary varieties to choose from

SeedBallz is all about planting. The company manufactures what just might be the smartest seed products on the market. Perfect for both the seasoned green gardener or the beginner who doesn't yet have a completely green thumb, a SeedBallz is a small orb filled with clay, organic fertilizer and seeds. Just plant one in the garden, and a cluster of beautiful flowers will grow in its place. The seeds save time, simplify planting and eliminate the need for toxic fertilizers.
But SeedBallz is not just about planting seeds in the garden; the company is also devoted to planting seeds of self-reliance to individuals with developmental disabilities in the United States. Every SeedBallz ball is hand-rolled by a disabled American who is able to hold a job and earn a fair wage thanks to SeedBallz. The company helps the team of crafters gain independence and self-confidence, while helping everyone have greener, more beautiful yards and gardens.

Traditionally used to keep birds from eating their corn seed, Native Americans would roll the seeds in clay. Seed balls are a method of growing seeds by encasing them in a mixture of clay and compost. This protects the seeds from drying out in the sun, getting eaten by birds, or blowing away in the wind. SeedBallz has reinvented this tradition with a proven formula of all-natural ingredients to create SeedBallz. Each of the ballz is loaded with seeds that germinate inside the ball with watering.

Inspired by soil scientist Masanobu Fukuoka, author of “The One –Straw Revolution”, SeedBallz began mixing a special blend of rich organic humus, a whole packet of seeds and clay to offer the gardener a new way to grow wildflowers and herbs. They then partnered with developmentally disabled workers and created an innovative way to roll and grow clusters of flowers from each round ball. It was a perfect match. They began rolling seedballs in Arizona and it was quickly apparent that it was fun and therapeutic! It didn’t take long for these companies to grow together and blossom into a “Success Story”.

Planting Instructions:

  • DO NOT bury SeedBallz.
  • Do not break up the SeedBallz, they are more successful if they are kept intact.
  • Place in FULL sun.
