Irish potato candy is a traditional Philadelphia confection that, despite its name, is not from Ireland, and does not usually contain any potato. The candies have a coconut cream inside (blend of coconut, confectioner's sugar, vanilla, and cream or cream cheese) and are rolled in cinnamon on the outside, resulting in an appearance reminiscent of small potatoes.
In remembrance of the great potato famine, this sweet concoction is shaped like a potato. Oh Ryan's Irish Potatoes are tasty little "spuds", made from coconut cream fondant and rolled in cinnamon. The bitter sweetness of the cinnamon cuts the sugariness of this soft candy. Tthis traditional Irish-American confection makes a great St. Patrick's Day treat.
Ingredients: Sugar, Coconut, Corn Syrup, Invert Sugar, Starch, Egg White, Cinnamon, and Natural Flavors. Kosher certified.
Oh Ryan's Irish Potatoes proudly made in Linwood, Pennsylvania.
