Eleuthero provides ultimate support for enhanced energy and stamina and encourages a healthy response to stress. It is an adaptogen, a substance that helps the body adapt to various types of stress. In order to achieve this status a plant must be harmless. It must also have a broad-spectrum, normalizing action that brings an organism back to homeostasis. Through Russian research, Eleuthero became the model for all other adaptogens. In the late ‘60s and ‘70s studies were conducted in over 2,100 healthy people which showed that Eleuthero increased the ability of subjects to withstand stress such as heat, noise, motion, exercise, and increase in workload. Subjects also experienced increases in mental alertness and work output.*

Green Tea is rich in polyphenols, which scavenge free radicals, and supports both normal cholesterol levels and the immune system. Green Tea contains hundreds of pharmacologically active chemicals. The most researched of these are the alkaloids (thoebromine, theophylline, and caffeine), tannins, and phenolic acids. The thermogenic properties of Green Tea and its role in encouraging the healthy metabolism of sugars make it an excellent choice for the support of a weight management protocol. The antioxidant activity of Green Tea is well documented and attributed to the polyphenols known collectively as catechins; epigallocatechin (EGC), epicatechin (EC), epigallocatechingallate (EGCG) and epicatecatechingallate (ECG). The chemical structure of these antioxidants not only impedes the action of free radicals as oxidative stressors but prevents their formation. Schizandra balances endocrine functions and support healthy liver function. Schizandra is, like eleuthero, classified as an adaptogenic herb. The major chemical constituents in Schizandra berry are; schizandrin, deoxyschizandrin, schisanhenol, schizandrol, sesquicarene, citral, stigmasterol, and vitamins C and E. Much of the clinical research has focused on the effects of Schizandra on liver function, especially its effect on the production of various liver detoxifying enzymes and the activation of the CYP450 enzyme system, as well as the antioxidant activity of the extract.*
